Mitsco Translation & Training receives the international quality certificate according to LICS/ON & EN 15038






For the first time in history, Egypt has taken a leading role among the world's developed nations in the field of translation.

Mitsco Translation & Training is one of the first centres in Egypt to receive the International Quality Certificate in Translation from Mr. Mohamed-Ali Ibrahim, representative of the Austrian Standards Institution in the Arab World. It is awarded to accredited translation agencies after exhaustive auditing of the agency performance, and its compliance with the conditions and specifications of the accreditation authority.

The importance of translation has emerged after the increase in number of member states in the European Union, given their different languages and the necessity of daily communication among these states in their various languages. Then, many problems appeared due to the inaccuracy of delivering information through daily translation works in these states. Consequently, it became necessary to set criteria that control translation quality. Each state established a formal body to which it entrusted the task of following up, monitoring and auditing translation agencies, and choosing a group of these accredited agencies by this regulatory body.

the Austrian Standards Institution and Termnet decided to establish a regulatory body for Translation & language industry at the level of the European Union and worldwide. This body is LICS (Language Industry Certification System). After accrediting the agencies working in the European Union states, this Body started to extend its activity outside the Union states, to those countries that have political and economic links with the European Union states. Therefore, the body headed for the Middle East Region starting with Egypt.
