Technical Assistance for Strengthening the Capacity of the Translation Coordination Unit in Turkey – The Secretariat General for the EU Affairs

In the time between 18 and 20 February, 2009 an in-house training on “EN 15038 and Quality Control in Translation with focusing on Revision Techniques” was conducted by Mr. Mohamed-Ali Ibrahim for the team of the “Translation Coordination Unit in Turkey”. The
training covered the following aspects:

• The European Norm EN 15038:2006 „Translation Services – Service Requirements“
• Auditing & Certification of the EN 15038 Quality System
• Revision Aspects on EN 15038
• Revision Techniques & Tools
• Revision Principles
• Quality Control in Translation

At the end of each training day there was a specific workshop related to the outcome of the day; the participants could practice the theoretical aspects and evaluate their working methods to enhance the efficiency of the future work.

PI Saudi Arabia - Our New Partner

In a very friendly atmosphare at our offices In Vienna the agreement with our local partner PI-Saudi Arabia has been signed.

Within 4 days, AAC Austria, represented by Mr. Mohamed-Ali Ibrahim In cooperation with the AAC Austrian partners Skills Group, represented by Mr. Jürgen Gangoly have conducted 3 different business workshops to prepare a working strategy of the first 4 projects In Saudi Arabia. The next workshops and business meetings are defined to be by the end of March, 2009 In Riadh and Jeddah.
